Insulate when you paint! Certified NASA Spinoff Technology.

INSULATION CAN NOW BE PUT INTO MOST ANY PAINT, WHICH MEANS YOU CAN NOW INSULATE, AT A VERY LOW COST,  AREAS THAT WOULD HAVE IN THE PAST BEEN EXTREMELY COSTLY TO INSULATE.

The following research has been  made available from the manufacturer of this product:

"R values" are a materials ability to resist the conduction of heat flow thru a solid.  This conduction of heat transfer is between 5% - 7% of the total heat transfer into / out of a structure.
That leaves between 93% and 95% of the total heat transfer to be dealt with, mostly by your air-conditioner and heater.

Mass insulation products work by trying to "trap" the heat in air pockets contained between fibers in the product.  Air is a good insulator against conduction but cannot stop radiant heat and once the insulation becomes saturated with heat all the heat it can absorb it then transfers it on through the wall.

Researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee which is the technology managed for the U.S. Department of energy, took homes in Miami FL. Phoenix AZ and Atlanta GA which were single-story, single-family detached houses constructed between 1960 and 1970 and ranging between 1,120 square feet to 1,585 square feet in size.  Their uninsulated exterior walls were constructed of concrete block and uninsulated interior walls between the living spaces and garages were constructed of wood-framed drywall. They insulated the walls and applied stucco as follows:

We used inch-thick extruded polystyrene foam insulation boards for this site-fabricated exterior insulation system.  The insulation was installed by attaching 1.5-inch thick furring strips to the exterior walls, installing the insulation boards between the strips, with a second layer of insulation boards over the furring strips, attaching a wire lath, and finally, applying stucco.  After the stucco had dried, it was painted a light color.  Total retrofit costs ranged from $3,610.00 to $4,550.00 per house, averaging $3.34 per square foot of exterior wall area to be covered with insulation."  outdoor temperature exceeded the indoor temperature, but the added insulation also increased the retention of heat generated within the house when the outdoor temperature fell bellow the indoor temperature.  In some locations-particularly in Miami-the addition of wall insulation actually increased the cooling load during the spring and fall."

Note: "A lower rate of transfer", not a reduction in total amount, The added insulation Increased the retention of heat"  This was after adding two full inches of foam the block walls, stucco, and two coats of paint!

The ceramic paint that we use offers unique energy saving properties that resist and reflect heat while dissipating it and it resists the radiated heat, reducing the load on your existing fiberglass insulation, reducing your energy costs, and for a LOT LESS money.  It also offers thermo advantages and helps to deaden sound.

This ceramic technology was developed by NASA for use in space vehicles to reduce heat and cold.

Their are several insulating products that we apply that are each used for different purposes.  This product has been developed to create a vacuum within the ceramic itself, which eliminates transfer of heat and cold, because, as I am told, according to the law of physics heat and cold cannot pass through a vacuum, but they can pass through your walls and ceiling through conventional insulation all day and night long.  Raising your utility bill.

When your A/C gets your home cool the heat from outside then begins to pass through your walls and ceiling to a the cooler atmosphere, inside your home.  In the winter, when it is cold outside and your home gets warm, the heat in your home passes through your walls and ceilings to go to the cooler climate, outside, which raises your heat bill.  You can now stop a great deal of that transfer process by applying this Hi Tech product.  It can be applied to both the interior and the exterior of your home, including your walls, ceiling and roof.

If you are considering Painting, or, replacing your roof, or you just want to save on your high energy bills,  call us.  With this product their ma be no need to replace your existing roof, saving all of the removal cost and inconvenience that goes with it and it is a proven energy saver.  This product can be put on a new roof as well and we can apply it in color or clear ; you decide.  However, white is preferred for best reflectivity and much more cost effective.  Painting your walls, ceilings or outside will also work at saving you energy, which, as you know, is a cost that continues to go up.

ENERGY SAVINGS: Are a big plus.  The insulation
and reflective properties provide a built-in thermal
barrier against winter cold and summer heat, which can reduce heating and air conditioning costs.

In tests conducted by Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory, white reflective roof coatings saved up
to 50% in energy costs.  Savings will very depending
upon roof assembly, insulation thickness, roof area
and climate.

WEIGHT SAVINGS:These roof coatings are well
suited for application
over an existing roof and
they are up to 10 times lighter than traditional
materials, so there's minimal weight or stress on
your building.

DURABILITY:  These products offer superior mildew
resistance, soundproofing, UV reflectivity, and are resistant
to ozone, acid rain and other air-born contaminants.

There are great testimonials on this product but the best I have
read is as fallows:

"We recently completed a 90,000 square foot building in Huma, La, an old Wal-Mart that has been converted into a climate controlled mini-storage.  The flat tar gravel roof was coated with PermaKote Plus insulating roof coating and the walls were also painted inside and out with insulating ceramic paint.  Not only did these coatings enhance the appearance of the building but they
also created a significant savings in the utilities for the building.
Originally it took 16 Air Conditioning units to cool the
building...it now takes ONLY 3 !

As you can see not only is there a significant savings in
energy costs but also the life expectancy of the A/C units
will increase approximately 4 times.
